Residents & Fellows

AV의 employs more than 200 residents in the ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs. On average, approximately 35% of incoming residents are graduates of the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine (ACGME Sponsoring Institution), 46% are US mainland medical school graduates and 19% are international medical graduates.

Part of the success of what we do can be found in the spirit of Aloha (kindness, compassion, affection) that can be found in Hawai쁦셲 people, including our caring and intentional supervisors and supportive staff. Hawai쁦 also provides an amazing environment that is conducive to promoting a positive work-life balance. A busy residency schedule is balanced with warm weather and outdoor activities. Hiking to surfing, both and more can be done in a day as the beach and mountains are both a short drive from the city. For a longer respite, hop on a plane for less than an hour to explore a neighboring island and the wonders it has to offer.
